AUGUST 2010 Prayer Requests From Bill Dickerson:
all of you know me and I can't be quiet. We have just received word from the Dr.
that Jean does have a small cancer in her left breast. She said she did not want
anyone to know or be called but I cannot go on without the prayers of my prayer
warriors. So pray or call if you want - I will take the beating as graciously as
I can for going against her wishes. Love preacher Bill P.S. the breast
specialist told us it was early and it would be okay.
Tim Hay was racing in Eddyville IA at. the World Fuel Altered Nationals and we got word around 10:15 tonight that he barrel rolled his car and has been helicoptered out of the venue. No word yet on his condition. 8-21-10
Please pray for
Darryl Hollin who totaled his Super Rod car at the Union Pro Am. He will be
very sore after this wreck. Please pray for his emotions as he has been
dealing with major life changes this week even before this happened. 8-21-10
Please be in prayer for Nancy Elms nephew. "He is battling demons only he and God know." 8-20-10
Continued prayers are needed for Christy Rice as she goes back to her cardiologist on Monday. 8-20-10
Jean Dickerson, Bill's wife, came through her biopsy fine. The doctors removed the small area of concern. They believe they removed everything of concern so Jean will not need any further treatment. The results will take 2 or more days. Bill's foot and leg are improving. He started another medicine today. He asks for prayer for him and Jean. "I can't walk and she can't work," he joked. Pray for complete healing of these precious saints. 8-19-10
From Chaplain Michelle Michael: My girlfriend's dad, Mel, has been diagnosed with liver cancer today! This has devastated the whole family. More test still need to be done to determine the source. Pray God will touch Mel's body and give him the strength to endure all of his encounters. Pray for my friend Gayle and the rest of the family as they are still numb to the findings! I pray God will intervene in each one of their lives. I will keep everyone updated after more tests are done in the next few weeks. 8-18-10
Continued prayers are needed for Rev. Bill Dickerson. He still has swelling in his right foot and leg. The doctor now has him on 2 strong antibiotics. 8-17-10 Prayer is also needed for Jean Dickerson, Bill's wife, as she goes for another biopsy Thursday, 8-19-20.
Dennis Roberts has been diagnosed with cancer. Please pray for his healing in body, soul and spirit as he has battled so many trials in the past several years. 8-17-10
Please pray for Boyd Hollingsworth who is in prison. He is struggling with issues of unforgiveness and bitterness. He is also worried about his relationships, both the good and the bad. Pray for him as God works to restore and heal him. 8-17-10
Larry Sullivan's sister, Carolyn Wright, has been diagnosed with cancer of the brain, liver and other organs. Please be in prayer for her and her family. 8-17-10
Josh Thompson, Joel's son, has had a very rough first deployment as a Marine. He is back in the US but is having trouble dealing with the loss of the lives of several close friends in his platoon. 8-17-10
Please be in prayer for one of the crew members of Bruce Litton's Top Fuel team. Eddie will have open heart surgery next month, his wife Chloe is recovering from a stroke. 8-17-10
Please be in prayer for the family of John Haas, TF Hydro World Champion, who was recently killed at an event. His family was at the IHRA Nitro Jam at US 131 near their home this weekend. They requested continued prayer as they deal with this tragedy. John was well known at US 131 and many track personnel are also grieving this tragic loss. 8-17-10
Please be in prayer for the Union Pro Am event this weekend and for Chaplains Gary & Renee Bingham, Pattie & Gene Head as they minister there. 8-17-10
Pray for Tommy D'Aprile who will have surgery Thursday morning to repair a tendon in his left arm. 8-11-10

1. Top Sportsman Racer dealing with issues of his 2 yr old
son! Pray God intervenes with the boys mother. She is making the situation
difficult for the father and extended family.
2. Lindsay and Jamie's Grandmother, Clara, who fell back in
the Spring hitting her head and is still going through major difficulties.
She can't eat well due to swallowing issues. Pray for the entire family as
they attend to her needs. Comfort the family with love and pray for healing of
Clara.
3. Pray for the mother of the little girl Nikki who was on GSM
prayer list last year for Cancer. Nikki passed away. She would have been 8
today (8-9). She has set-up a foundation in remembrance of her. At the track
there is a new playground in her memory.

Pray for Barbara Nesbitt who was injured at the
NMCA/NMRA event this weekend when her driveshaft broke. Her arm is severely
injured, several ribs are broken and other injuries. Pray for her recovery

Chaplains Randy & Jo Ann Ferrell as they deal with health concerns. Also pray

Please pray for my brother in law, Jimmy Rinehart, his doctors have said there is nothing else they can do for him! He has had open heart surgery(last february) then was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, had surgery, chemo and radiation..but the cancer has spread to his lungs now and they say he is too weak for more tr...eatment. Please pray for him and for my sister and her children. I know God can heal him and that is what I will continue to pray for and ask that you all will too! Thanks so very much. Continued prayers are needed for Brian (B.B.) Williams who was critically injured in a motorcycle accident on the highway last Saturday. Brian was scheduled for another surgery today. He is fortunate to be alive but has a long road to recovery. Also include his family in your prayers. 7-30-10
Glen Ferguson reports that Angel will have surgery on Monday to remove a lung. Please be in prayer for her as she undergoes this surgery. Also pray for relief from the pain she is currently experiencing from the cancer. 7-30-10
Dave Barker, bass singer for the Sojourner Quartet and long time friend of ICRA and God Speed Ministry, passed away today from cancer of the esophagus. Please be in prayer for his wife, Carol, and family as they mourn his passing. Dave touched many lives in IHRA as he performed with the Sojourner Quartet at race events and banquet celebrations. He will be dearly missed. The hearts and prayers of God Speed Ministry go out to his family and friends. 7-29-10

Please pray for Greg Slack who is in remission of
Mantel Cell Lymphoma. Because his blood counts are going down, the doctors
have called him in a month early for screening. Gina & Greg ask for prayer
for his continued healing. They both know God has healed Greg but ask for
prayers against the "lab demons" and any negative reports. We stand in
agreement with God's healing of Greg. 7-29-10
Karen Bullard, Clay's wife, is recovering from
back surgery a couple of weeks ago. Pray for a complete healing for her.

God's Will to be done and a resolution will be completed soon so my Sister and
I can heal. A selfish request I know, but Renee, Sis and I have never had the
opportunity to mourn our Dad's death. Greed and despicable actions has abound

Praise report from Jean Dickerson: The test
results are in and there was NO CANCER! Praise God. Jean is scheduled for
another biopsy on the left side in August. Pray for good results from that one

Pray for Kathy Fisher and her competitor who
crashed at the Div. 3 race in Columbus OH on Saturday night. Her competitor
suffered 2nd degree burns. Kathy incurred some minor injuries in her haste to
get out of the car thinking she was on fire also. Pray for both as they heal

would like to thank everyone for prayers for Jean. She went through the
procedure fine. We were home at noon. We will have results in about two days,
pray for good report. The next are prayer requests are for two families in
my church: 1. The Risinger family, Mark and Cici, lost their son Chris in a
motorcycle wreck late monday night. This is Mary's grandson. She is one of my
prayer warriors that has prayed for me and always sought God in all things.
She and all the family needs our prayers. 2. Mr..R D Diehl went to be with
the lord this week. R D was the brother to Norman Diehl who was my first
pastor here in Dickinson and who just passed away in the last year. He will be
sorely missed. The funerals will be here at First Baptist Dickinson Friday
the 23rd 10:00 for Chris and then at 3:00 for R D. Please remember both
families and our church family as we minister to them. Thanks for all you do.

Update on Teresa Shuford's surgery, posted by Don Wed on
facebook: Teresa underwent a 3 hour surgery this morning and both doctors
said everything turned out very well. She spent about an hour an a half in
recovery and then came to her room. If their are no complications, they say we
may leave sometime tomorrow. 7-22-10
After thinking they had it beat, Brian Lair's brain tumor has
come back. Chemo did not stop the growth so they are looking into trial
treatments. Please pray for his ultimate healing and for his continued
strength and faith in God. His testimony through this whole process is pretty
powerful.

Joe Flynn's uncle Ray passed from earth Sunday 9:30 a.m. Please be in prayer for the family as they mourn his passing. 7-19-10 From Lloyd Labus: My son is a special child, an epileptic and autistic child. We rushed him to the hospital yesterday. He has a very serious blood infection, diarrhea, pneumonia and seizures. His blood pressure and platelets are also very low. Please pray for my son's healing. Also pray for my family as we try to obtain the money needed to pay for his medicines and treatments. Also pray for me and the work of God I am doing. From Robin Flynn last Saturday evening: Joe's uncle is not expected to live though the night. He fell on June 30th and had a major stroke last Saturday. They took him off the ventilator yesterday and he is going down fast. Please pray for Joe as he deals with this also on the 10th year of his parents death. I feel God told Joe not to go run at Carolina this weekend. 7-18-10 From Grand Bend Nitro Jam: 1. Pray for Margie Sawyer who was diagnosed with a brain tumor on the same day she buried her 7 year old daughter, Ashley, who died of a brain tumor. She really needs our prayers as she deals with this. 2. Pray for Pauline whose son, mother, father and aunt all died in April and her husband had a heart attack. Being overwhelmed with grief is an understatement for her. Please lift her up in prayer for God to give her comfort and peace. 3. Please pray for a lady who is dealing with a life changing medical diagnosis. 4. Pray for Kevin Fisher who has been adversely effected by the heat. 5. Pray for a man who has been diagnosed with a life altering disease. 6.Praise God for the safety and completion of the event. 7.Praise God for the healing and restoration in the hearts and lives of so many this weekend. Please be in prayer for the Cooper and Dubberly families. Carl Cooper is a good friend of Joe Sannutti's. His nephew, twenty-three year old Royce Dubberly, died when he jumped from a car moving 55 mph. When his grandmother, Francis Dubbery, (Carl's mother-in-law) heard the news she had a heart attack. She had surgery Sunday morning and came through fine. Please be in prayer for her healing and the entire family's healing from this tragic death. 7-18-10
Please pray for Brenda Corker who has been diagnosed with 3 spots of basal cell skin cancer. The medicine required to remove the spots on her face can cause her to be very sick for the next 6 weeks. She has been to the doctor and they wanted to cut some of her toes off due to loss of circulation in her legs. She did not want them to cut them off. Pray for Boyd who is incarcerated and awaiting trial. Pray for God's protection, intervention, healing and saving power. Please pray for Amy and her family. "My family is very dysfunctional and we need prayer. I'm struggling with addiction. I'm also having trouble with our daughter who has alot of issues and severe problems, she's only sixteen. I pray for deliverance and for help for our family." 7-12-10 Update from Diane Hooker: Great Day Everyone, I can't thank you enough for all the prayers that have been prayed for me, and God has truly heard them. I had surgery Tuesday last week to biopsy the swollen lymph nodes and the surgery was a success. I went to the Dr. Friday for the results and he said they could not find any trace of cancer in the biopsy. They also had a concern about a fungus spore that I could have picked up in Peru. They did specific test for that since it was only 17 days after the trip that I went to the Emergency Room, and it too was negative. He told me that they cultured a piece of the tissue to see if it would grow anything, and after 3 days it still had not grown anything. PRAISE GOD!!!!! I have praised Him and I continue to praise Him. Now since all of those things were negative, we still have a concern. WHAT is
happening in my chest? WHY are my lymph nodes swollen? WHEN will we find out?
I am going back to surgery hopefully the week of the 26th. I have to go to a
Thoracic Surgeon on the 27th who will remove the affected lymph node on my
lung to send for further testing. A date hasn't been set for the second
surgery but I'm already claiming another miracle. Keep on praying for me and
know that God is already getting the glory out of this whole situation.
7-12-10 Pray for Bill who has been out of work and now his unemployment is over. He has been battling depression with the unemployment and tending to his ailing parents. Pray for open doors in his life's work for God. 7-12-10 Pray for Barry McGee as he travels the country ministering the love and joy of God to others. May his ministry touch millions of lives and impact the kingdom of heaven to the glory of God. 7-12-10
Please pray for Becky White who is having surgery today. "It's a pain block implant and hopefully, I will have a LOT less pain afterwards." Becky 7-12-10 From Jerry Blazier: 1. Carol's Grandmother on her dads side is in the hospital. She has been fighting cancer for a while and this morning she had an aneurysm in her lung. At this point it has slowed and they will be looking in her lungs tonight to see what can be done. They have called the family in and does not look good at this time. Keep our family's in your prayers. Mitch 2. I have God news to deliver today, our prayers have been answered. Margie's heart returned to it normal beating pattern, I walked into her room and noticed that one of the reading on the monitor showed 100. The nurse came by and i asked her about the reading and she explained that her heart was beating on it's own. Margie's doctor was still in the hospital and he was told and came and said that at this time a pace maker was not needed and they took out 3 of the drain tube that were inserted in her chest. AMEN AMEN ain't God Good, all the time, 3. I would like to add my son's mom to your prayers, who is having back problems. 4. Please continue to lift up Mitch and Carol. 7-12-10
Please be in prayer for Jen Byrne's mother who had emergency surgery due to an advanced infection from a previous surgery. The doctors have told her to expect a 6 month recovery period. 7-10-10

Update on Margie Blazier: Margie is progressing quite well. they are removing more devices and tubes. We are hoping they will move her to a regular room tomorrow. I want to thank each and everyone for your kind thoughts and prayer they are why she is doing so well. We would like for you to add another patient in icu that is not doing as well. Lift up the patient and her family in prayer. 7-10-10

George passed away this week of a massive heart attack. George was a true Friend of our family. I first met George a couple years ago when he walked into our race shop asking if we changed oil in cars. Not being an auto service shop, it was apparent then that God had caused our paths to meet. Thus a true Friendship bond was forged throughout the many months we serviced his vehicles. George was an Honest and Humble man and most important, his Integrity was second to none. He will be truly missed, but we will see him one day soon in Glory. 7-7-10

went well for Carol. They released her and we came home this morning. We had
some unexpected news after she came out of surgery. We received a phone call
that her grand mother on here moms side passed away suddenly. Funereal
service's are set for Sunday. Please keep us in your prayer's, Carol is taking

Please pray for Chaplain Mike Imhoff and Chaplain Michelle Michael as they minister at the Clay City Pro Am this weekend in KY. 7-1-10 From Chaplain Jerry Blazier: Just a quick line on Carol's procedure. Carol will be in surgery tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. in Austin. They will be replacing the led's on her pace maker due to them malfunctioning. I will let everyone know how she is doing after surgery. was good. Because throat still has some swelling, Dr. wants to give it more time
to go down and let muscle heal. I go back first of August and I feel sure if all

My Brother-In-Law, John Sauter, is at Bethesda going through tests. His liver is not functioning properly and is having serious medical issues. My dad (Avery Watson) had a massive stroke on Sunday. His chance of recovery is slim. He had 2 by-pass surgeries on his right leg 4 weeks ago. Infection set up in his leg and he had only been home from the hospital 4 days when he suffered the stroke. Even at 85, my dad was very active... driving and taking care of things at home. Yesterday, my dad was moved from ICU to the Palliative Care floor. It is so hard to watch someone you love suffer and know he won't recover. One blessing is my dad is a Christian and I have no doubt he'll be joining my mother in heaven. Thanks for remembering my family in prayer. 5-21-10

A spectator, Terry McDougald of Lillington, NC, died at Harrells Raceway on Sunday night when a car crash sent an engine hurtling into him. "Pro Stock Joe" Joseph Wactor of Brooklyn, N.Y., driver of the car, suffered multiple injuries but refused medical treatment. Another spectator was also injured by flying debris. Update from Theresa Cook: Went to doctor for post surgery check up and wasn't good news. Although the pathologist said at the time of surgery said there was no cancer, when the report came back from the lab to Dr. Lawson there was some cancer in the thyroid. So, as soon as this surgery heals ( approx 6-8 weeks), I have to go back into surgery again to remove the entire thyroid this time. He says the chance of radiation treatments are small, however possible. Will know that after surgery. Go back to doctor and do more blood work that day as well. Will know more on date then. Needless to say I was pretty bummed out. About the time this heals and I feel normal ( as normal as I usually am) I'm going in for round two. I just have to stay positive and keep praying. From Chaplain Joe Sannutti: from Carolen Bergeron's daughter. Here's an update about my mom: She was late getting into surgery and initially had some low blood pressure issues due to the epidural, but they were resolved quickly. The surgery lasted a couple of hours and I got the update call around 5:30pm. The doctor said the surgery went very well and he found no evidence that the cancer had spread outside of the uterus. PRAISE GOD!!! They took additional tissue samples that were sent to the lab -- we'll get those pathology reports sometime next week. I just want to thank you all for praying for my mom, my dad, and all of us as well. From Chaplain Joe Sannutti: Please be praying for Deb's brother, Bill Crapps. He has an inoperable brain tumor that they treated with radiation last year. It had shrunk and he was back to normal for a while. Right now he's been sick and losing a lot of blood. The doctors are talking about sending him back to Emory University. They gave him 3 units of blood yesterday and so far haven't found where he's losing the blood. Mike Gross is going for an MRI on Friday to make sure a staph infection he has been fighting is finally gone from his spine. Update from Theresa Cook: Just wanted to give you an update on my test results. There is a tumor growing down under my collar bone and shifting my windpipe to the right. It is attached to my thyroid and is too large for them to try to shrink. I will go in for surgery on the 28th and will be in hospital couple of days. They will remove the tumor along with half of my thyroid. Because of the size they will insert a drain tube into my throat at the time of surgery. There will be a pathologist there and if it is cancer then they will remove the other half. I am praying it is not cancer and was found in time ( they did a CT Scan on my side for a possible cracked rib from coughing while I had bronchitis and found this). 4-6-10

Chuck Martin was racing at Mooresville Dragway, Mooresville NC, when he went off the top end of the track at high speed at 5:00 p.m. today (Saturday, 4-3-10). Elaine Jennings was admitted to St. Luke's Hospital on Thursday. Alzheimer's has removed knowledge of her husband and the ability to function on a daily basis. She is in the hospital for medical issues and evaluation. She will be there for 3 to 10 days. She will need full time care when she is released. Please pray for her husband Jerry, son Stephen, daughter Stacie and her family as they deal with this disease and loss of function of their wife and mother. Well this afternoon, if all goes as planned a guy from Hanger Inc. will come to our home and meet with us (Chip), reference to a microprocessor controlled hydraulic (bioic) leg. Please pray that Chip is open, receptive, and willing to go through this process if he meets all criteria. I know that he is a bit apprehensive with all that will be required. However I do feel that God is working in this because of the fact that when I spoke with Randy, at Hanger Inc, who also is an amputee and explained how active Chip has always been, riding ATV's, motorcycles, drag racing, boating, swimming etc.etc... he was really eager to meet with Chip and he volunteered to come into our home today. Chip's family and I have always wanted him to be more mobile and seek out all options available...this is one he has stayed away from until now!!!! Charlie was playing ball in a tournament yesterday evening (Mon. 3/23/10), and was running to home plate when he was struck in the back of his head with a ball thrown from outfield. Charlie stiffened and fell face forward planting his face in the ground...the impact of the ball crushed the back of his skull...and the forward fall broke his nose, his jaw. By the time he reached the ER his brain was swelling and emergency surgery was required...when Dr's operated they had to remove imbedded bone fragments from the brain. The surgeon said he had never seen anything like this and the next (5) days are very critical. Charlie is in Gwinnette Medical in Lawrence, GA. From Ginger Martin: 3-21-10 The benefit for Billy was a great success. They had enough money left over to start a checking account so that they can do this again for other kids that are in need. Unfortunately, it is something they go through a lot. The kids mom deals with are from poor families or foster kids, that the state takes care of. Mom's company is Paris Pediatric and they are contracted through the state to take care of the sick children. Most of them (95% I would guess) will die and not live to see adulthood. Billy's aunt and uncle were able to come. The owner (Deanna) of the company I work for, Paris Pediatric Home
Health Care provided the space for the event. Deanna made coleslaw for
the first time and it was a real hit. Mitzi, the Administrator was there
and bustled around organizing, emailing people to come in. The Maverick
ladies cleaned up after we were finished. The office did not reveal the
miracle that had just occurred.
From Ginger Martin: My mom works for a home health agency in Texas and they
specialize in kids who are currently on and may never come off life support. A
young boy of 16 that she was extremely close to died a few days ago. He was 16
years old and had been dealing with a brain tumor 6 years ago and then cancer
finally ended his life. The reason I am asking for prayer is two-fold. The
family is very poor so my mom and my brother’s biker friends have taken the bull
by the horns and are getting things donated from people around town to get the
cremation done, the funeral taken care of, even someone who was doing granite
counters in their kitchen… yep, donated and carved some of it for his headstone.
They are having a benefit at the office on Sunday to raise money to pay for the
funeral and the urn. Billy’s mother, Kimberly, is not doing too well because
Billy was her baby. She sits and just stares. So if you guys would really pray
for the mom, Kimberly, for strength and the strength to go on. Also that the
benefit raises all the money needed for the family to be able to bury Billy like
they want to. My mom and brother have done a wonderful thing and it encourages
me greatly. 3-21-10

They did some preliminary tests and have ruled out a few things, but when they did a CT Scan, it shows something going on with his C-3 and C-4 vertebrae. A request from the Friday shootings at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. Lisa Scherer's younger brother, Joe Leahy, was critically injured in that incident. He's an associate professor in the Biology Dept. The bullet entered the top of his head & went down thru his right eye, broke his nose & other bones & is lodged in his neck. The 3rd & 4th days will give them a better idea of survival and/or recovery. He was conscious prior to surgery to remove a large hematoma on Friday, but is partially comatose now-yet somewhat responsive. Joe has 2 sons-1 is a college freshman, the other still at home with his wife, Ginny. Lisa is asking, very simply, for prayers...from anyone willing to offer them. The situation was described as grim last evening. But, we know there can be miraculous recoveries. 2-17-20

I did not change the date because honestly we did not know when they could get it done. They were able to finally have a viewing Sunday and a service Monday. He is still not interred and don't know when that can happen. I talked with Tommy today and he ask me if I attended and that's when I realized I had not made that clear to anyone and the actual date for all services the family. Thanks everyone for prayers. Keli and I met with her neurosurgeon this morning to review the recent MRI films
that are part of our annual check-up. We knew from previous films over the last
18+months that there were re-growths of the original tumor - 2 of which have
been previously treated with radiation. In the last two years there has been a
third regrowth that has not been treated...so we knew that there were 3 spots
one year ago - all of which had shown some "change" in size and shape, but the
doctor recommended watching over the period of this past year. Chaplain Joe Sannutti has shingles. Please pray for his healing from this painful disease. 2-14-10

Update on Jeffrey Lee's father: the surgery went well. It was scheduled for 3 hours and they got done in 2 1/2. They said the prostate came out 'clean' meaning that it wasn't so enlarged that it was difficult to get out or spread to the bladder or elsewhere nearby. They are also doing a biopsy on the removed prostate gland. He is in recovery and they will have him in for more tests in 2-3 months. If they find anything at that point, they can treat with radiation. 2-10-10

June of 2009 Charlottesville did a wonderful job of removing a cancer tumor in her stomach & rerouted her bowls to where she would not have to wear a bag. She had been cancer free, months ago she had a clean bill of health, no sign of the cancer returning. This past week she had a check up & another tumor is wrapped around her Colon & spots on lung & liver. However now she is in ICU with 2 infections, they can not see if they can do any treatment until the infections are gone. However the infections are very bad. I know it will be God's will but I want her to be comfortable and to have a chance & for their to be peace for her kids & grandkids she has raised. Maedgen: I wanted to give you an update on my sister and ask that you please
continue to pray for her. My sister is doing OK after her surgery. It is painful
for her to eat which I believe is because of the tumor they were not able to
remove. She has lost 15 lbs. which she didn’t need to lose. We met with the
oncologist last week in Austin and he told us the pathology report was
inconclusive. So they have sent everything to M.D. Anderson in Houston. She is
waiting for an appointment in Houston. Until they know the exact origin of her
cancer, they don’t think that it started in the ovaries, the oncologist does not
want to start any chemo. They are thinking she may have some type of
gastrointestinal cancer or pancreatic cancer. The not knowing is so hard.

From Chaplain Joe Sannutti: I just got a call from a very close friend that I've been racing with for years and she asked for prayer for the situations in their life right now. They are going through a very stressful time with business and family situations. Also, her mother in law has health issues, she's in her late 80's, and she just asked that we lift them up before our Lord. I know that the Lord honors intercessory prayer and this is a family that really needs us to join them in prayer. 1-10-10 Please pray for a new believer who is having many difficulties in life right now: health, loss of income, depression and attacks from satan. Please pray for faith, healing, deliverance and strength 1-10-10. From Chaplain Jerry Blazier: 1. Carol Carson has been sick for some time. Wed night we made a mad dash for the hospital once again. She has been fighting a disease called Sarcoidosis. What this disease does is devastating and there is no cure known but it is treatable. It attacks the auto immune system in your body and then on to your major organs and this is where we have been at for the past 5 years without any knowledge of it until last May when she had congestive heart failure. Since that time we have been in and out of the hospital many times. Wed night it became much more addressed. In May of 09 she had 30 percent of her heart function when she had heart failure and now it has progressed and she has only 10- 15 percent and the doctors are leaning on the 10 percent. At this point the only option left for her to survive is a heart transplant. There is going to be a lot of testing on her in the next 2 weeks in Austin at the transplant center to see if she meets the strict criteria to be placed on the transplant list. The Sarcoidosis was looked at very strongly while we where in the hospital the past couple of days. It was found to be in the dolomite stage rite now which is great, because if it was in an active stage it would have taken her off the transplant qualification list right off the bat. They said the reason why it would not allow her to be on the list is they will not give someone an organ that is terminally ill, which does make since but is hard to swallow at the same time.. So at this point please continue to pray for her healing and strength to over come some things and habits she to change in her life so she can be placed on the transplant list. I will be giving everyone updates as we continue through this time and challenge in our lives. We want to thank God for placing all of our friends in our lives because we could not do it with out your help and just want to say thanks again. Mitch, Carol and Jessica.

have an update on Mason. He went to the neurologist yesterday. They do feel that
there is something going on in his brain and have ordered an MRI and EEG, along
with more blood work. The doctor said that it is not unusual in Angelman
children to regress and then progress again. But they regress gradually. Mason’s
regression was immediate, so he feels that there is definitely something going
on in the right side of his brain. He has also ordered a new wheelchair for him,
so at least he will be traveling in style. However, please keep him on the
prayer chain, as he needs all the prayers he can get. He is definitely one of
God’s innocents, so I know he is in really good hands. 1-10-10
Please pray for Beth Prestridge's father who somehow managed to dislodge the pacemaker leads and the wires punctured a lung, causing one of his lungs to collapse. 1111ad to have surgery to re-inflate the lung, which involves inserting chest tube. 1-7-10
From Rev. Floyd & Diana West: We are requesting prayer for our Grandson Kristopher. He is our son Matt's little 8 year old boy. (For the racers reading this, Matt owns and drives The Mean Green Machine dragster) Kris is having a heart procedure in two weeks that will burn off some of the tissue in his heart. It will take 4 to 6 hours for the surgery and 6 hours recovery time. If the surgery is not successful, he will have a pace maker put in. We are not anticipating this. From Marie Waller: One of the guys Mark played softball with over the past few years has a 3 year old little girl. Him and his wife are going through a separation. She took the little girl to the ER at CMC-NE last night and they started running tests and found some swelling near the back of her skull near her brain. They transferred her to CMC in Charlotte this afternoon and have concluded that she has a treatable tumor. They are in the process of deciding the best way to tackle the tumor. Chemo is being considered. Her name is Ashleigh Higgins. Her parents are Chris and April. They are having a hard time right now trying to work together and be there for her together. 1-7-10

She turned 83 in November and has alzheimers but still knew all of us. On Monday they put her to sleep for a bronchoscope and she hasn't really regained the ability to talk, eat or drink. She is on hospice and they tell us since we cannot get her to eat or drink that she will probably not last very long. She isn't in pain and is resting, please pray that she is peaceful without pain until GOD takes her. 12-18-09
Scott Snelling is in need of our prayers. Scott is the brother of Tracy Snelling who is a crew member for the TS Jay Zimmerman team. Scott had amputation surgery on Thursday and came through the surgery great. After surgery he sat up, awake and alert then suddenly collapsed. He had no heart beat or brain activity. Please pray for Jack's father - Don Arnold. He goes in for surgery this coming Tuesday (at 12:30PM EST) to (hopefully) remove a cancerous mass in his lung (after checking to see if it has not spread to his lymph nodes). I ask the Prayer Warriors to lift up Jeff to the Lord for healing and strength as he goes for further treatment. Doug's a strong guy and we know that with God's help, he'll get through this. Our church has been so supportive and he has been placed on prayer chains all over our area. He was severely dehydrated with high potassium and low blood pressure. He began to progress in his recovery until last night. My aunt is a CNA at the hospital and was working last night, and she called me at about 4:30 this morning letting me know that dad had a stoke and was fading. I arrived at the hospital at around 5 this morning and my father passed away at 5:37 AM (Dec 2). Chaplain Carol Rix: Baby Joey had surgery yesterday (11/27) and they discovered he had two more blockages in his colon and repaired them. He will have the big reconstructive surgery later! I will let you know when that will be. Now we pray that he will keep food down and his body will absorb the nutrients it needs and he will start to gain weight and strength to go through his fifth surgery and last! Great report from The scans last week and the cancer hasn't spread and had reduced about 50%.... I give Praise and Glory to GOD as he has done another miracle that I have seen.....The Doctor was puzzled cause he said the treatment he had her on hadn't worked in the last nine patients he had tried it on.....We both started to cry and just told him we know how it worked as GOD isn't ready for Debbie to come home... He shattered his right femur. He had surgery last Thursday night to have a rod inserted into his leg. He can go home as soon as he can stand and walk without throwing up, which is turning out to be very difficult for him. There will probably be no news for a few days, as they run tests and get the results. He had a colostomy and had his appendix removed. He has a feeding tube but he had been eating fine on his own but recently he has been vomiting and he is losing weight. Pray that God will rearrange his internal organs so that all that is necessary is the reconstruction. He is scheduled for surgery in Cincinnati on December 31st. The doctors have been doing several tests and they have ruled out a heart attack. The doctors spotted a shadowed area behind the heart and diagnosed he has pneumonia and is being treated with heavy doses of antibiotics. He has a high temperature which they are saying is from the pneumonia. Lord, give the doctors the wisdom and knowledge to best treat Tommy! We are believing for complete healing. They have scheduled her an appointment with Cancer Treatment Centers of America here in Tulsa for next week. It'll be about 4-6 weeks before she's healed enough to start any kind of treatments. Bonnie will be able to go home tomorrow and it's just a waiting game for now. Brandy has planned to stay in Oklahoma at least until the appointment next week and then she'll make further plans. From Jim Ledden: My best friend's wife, Vicky Lennon of Spring Hill, Fl. has been diagnosed with Polymyosistis, which is every bit debilitating as MS and with a serious overweight problem brought on by the medication which is mostly steroids in high doses. She is to the point she is wheelchair bound and is having a tough time of it both mentally and physically. She is a Christian and would truly appreciate all our prayers, and also for her husband Gordon, is doing all he can to help her thru her day as he has his set of health issues also. I pray for her every night but it's time to get a group praying for her. She is being treated at Shands but has an appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville later in October for a second opinion. From Nancy Elms: I am scheduled for a complete hysterectomy on 9/29 in Springfield, MO. The presence of polyps in my uterus makes the chances of cancer too high,(if it's not already present) so surgery is the only option. The doctor is planning on using a new DiVinci robotics system, which will lessen the trauma (no large incision) and therefore make healing easier. As a last resort, he will make the incision, if the situation warrants. I will be in the hospital for a couple of days, and will be at home recovering for six weeks. Mark is very supportive and helpful and I am thankful for that! From Autumn Stott: Our family dentist and friend has MS. He is only 41 and has a family. He is having a very difficult time emotionally. He will be going to Costa Rica on Oct 16 for a month for experimental treatments. His Dad will be with him the first week and then he will be alone for the remaining 3 weeks. His wife, while exhausted, is doing well. 9-10-09 Update from Nancy Elms: Although the preliminary reports from my doctor were encouraging, the final lab reports were not. The tissue from the polyps in my uterus had "questionable cells" and I have been referred to a gyno-onocologist. I have been told to expect his plan will be a complete hysterectomy. I am waiting for a call from his office and am anxious to get my questions answered. As of now, they are not saying it is cancer, only a condition that tends to go that way. I had a similar situation with my colon six years ago...polyps that were questionable, so they removed a section of my colon. More preventative than anything. I am still praying that all goes well. From Mark Walter with JAMA Ministries: A friend from church had a massive heart attack late last night. He's younger than me by a few years. The prognosis is not good...there is no brain activity. They have called for the out of town family to come as quickly as they can. If nothing changes in 24 hours it looks like they will unplug him. We serve a might God and it ain't over until He says so. From Mark Elms: I would like you to ask for prayer for the family of one of my dearest friends, Jeanette, to comfort them. She went to be with the Lord yesterday. She wasn't even 40 I don't believe but she died from breast cancer. She told me once that she cherished our friendship because I was one of the few that could make her laugh. Besides family and friends she left behind are two children that she was so concerned about. It all just breaks my heart. Also please pray for Nancy, she found out that she is being referred to another doctor. He will decide the hysterectomy issue. She was told there was no cancer at this time but to expect surgery. Megan Wall is in a coma at 23 years old. Apparently she was attacked by a virus to her heart which some of you may know as the virus that killed Andy Gibb. At first, doctors determined that she had no brain activity and they were going to take her off of life support, however she is slightly coming out of the coma so there could be hope for her. I pray that God will give her life and fill us all with his glory in knowing that he has the final say despite what we think is humanly possible. 9-4-09

know him, he runs the white "ETeaser" Nova at Moroso and Imokolee and this year
has been running points at South Georgia. He called to ask for prayer for Kim.
She is 44 and always been very healthy. They have recently discovered, due to
migraine headaches, a bleeding tumor of some sort on her brain. After many
tests, they have narrowed it down to a cancerous tumor (no biopsy has been taken
yet) or that she had a stroke. There are more test to come this Wednesday and
Thursday.

nausea and just could not keep anything down and then began seeing things.....I
took her to ER and she will be in the hospital for a few days as she for sure
has a bladder infection and so far all the scans are not showing anything....I
have attached a picture of us together on Thanksgiving day and she had just had
2 units of blood and fluids on Wednesday and we did have a great Thanksgiving
