We are both very excited to be serving the Lord with God Speed Ministry. Racing has always been a passion of ours. Janette was dragging her ‘69 442 on the streets in Corpus Christi, TX in the late 60’s and I started racing at 17. Needless to say, we are both car people. But more importantly, we both have a passion for serving God wherever He sends us.
Janette and I worked for Transport For Christ, an organization that serves the spiritual needs of the trucking industry. Janette was the Office Manager at the main office in Marietta, PA, and I was the Lead Chaplain at the TFC Frystown, PA Chapel. Now Janette is retired and I volunteer when I am able.  Maybe you have seen our Truck Stop Chapels in your travels. We enjoy taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to people where they work, live, and play.
Being of service to the racers in Division One is the type of ministry that we feel called to. We have a heart to share your lives and share God with you by praying for you, sharing the Word of God with you and answering your needs as best we can. We want to be here for you when you need us.
So please give God the Glory when we do something right, and let us know if there is something we can be doing better. Our door will always be open, and we look forward to seeing all of you at the track.

An Ice Cream Social was held at the 2012 Junior Dragster Team event at Maryland Int’l Raceway.  It was well received as the temperatures soared near 100 degrees.

“Our good friend Deb, and her 17 year old son Brannon joined us for the weekend to help out. Here the final preps are being made, as the temperature climbed to over 100 degrees.”

“People signing up for the “Bucket of Stuff”.

The Ice Cream Social was a big success, and everyone was very appreciative We definitely want to make it a tradition at the Jr. Finals.

I have included some pictures for the web site, and captions below.

#004- “Our good friend Deb, and her 17 year old son Brannon joined us for the weekend to help out. Here the final preps are being made, as the temperature climbed  to over 100 degrees.”

#008- “Once the call was made that it was “Ice Cream Time” over the PA, the line quickly formed and swelled to over 75 people. We gave out over 180 cups of Ice Cream in an hour.”

#009- ” We provided Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Cream, along with all of the fixings, even bananas and cherries.”

#005- “We also raffled off free a “Bucket of Stuff”, full of junk food and dollar-store items.”

#007- “People signing up for the “Bucket of Stuff”.

#014- “Cooper Stump, from Team Beaver Springs, was the raffle winner”.

We had a lot of fun.

Check out some of our photos in the gallery! There are some of our visit to the Clayton Baptist Church in Clayton, NJ. In the Sanctuary, they introduced all of the race Chaplains, and the guest speaker was the Speedway Ministry chaplain from Dover International. Then they showed a movie with Kyle Petty giving his testimony. It was good stuff.
