Greetings to you all!
My name is Carol Rix. I am a retired hospital Chaplain. My husband, Tom and I live in a small community in Northern Illinois called Spring Grove. It’s about fifty miles NW of Chicago and five miles south of the Wisconsin border.
Tom and I have been involved with IHRA for about seven years. Many of you know us from the Top Stock Class. He began with a Silver 1972 Buick GS and later raced a Red 1974 Buick Appollo. We attended many of the national events and started racing at division events in 2006.
We fell in love with IHRA immediately. The family atmosphere and feeling wanted and welcomed had us hooked. We attended the Sunday services every time we could. I always walked away so blessed and had this feeling in my heart that maybe someday I could do that! In 2007 we were at Byron, IL and Mike Imhoff was the Chaplain. On Saturday I introduced myself to Mike and told him that I was a Chaplain at our local hospital. On Sunday we attended his service and he asked to speak with me! And as they say, the rest is history! I am looking forward to meeting all of you and bringing the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His Word to all.
God Speed Ministry is devoted to serving God and all His creation. And we feel blessed to be a part of the vision and future it has. We are praying for the peace of God that surpasses all understanding to be with you all, and for safety in your traveling!

I love this photo taken from our group picture at our 2011 “God Speed Conference” because of my smile and the joy I see in myself!
I can give God, alone, the Glory for this joy and the ability to smile because of how much He loves me and it’s by His Mercy that I can start each day anew with Him! It is only by the Grace of God that I can face each day! Everyday I have the blessed opportunity to do the same thing I did yesterday; only to try to do it a little bit better than I did the day before! And that is success! And to do it for Jesus, is all joy! A favorite quote of mine is: “People don’t care how much you know; until they know how much you care!”
I hope and pray that others will see Christ through me by the way I try to live each day with this joy that only comes through Him! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and who’s salvation is there for you and me! He has his hand out inviting everyone to come to Him! I want nothing more than others to have this joy and hope! And it can be yours too, by inviting Jesus to be the Lord of your life and let Him into your heart to be your joy each day, one day at a time! Come unto Him all that are weary and heavy laden and He will give you rest! It’s for everyone! He’s waiting for you! Tomorrow may be too late! Come to Jesus today!
I thank God for allowing me to be a part of God Speed Ministry! My only passion in life is to work for Christ and to show love to all! Glory be to God the Father!
